WELCOME TO LONGSHOT ONLINE! The website dedicated to London's best rock band
Return show at Nambucca lined up
Longshot are to return to popular Holloway rock haunt Nambucca in August.
The lads are to play the venue again after a great gig there last year.
They will be rocking on Thursday August 7th alongside alt rockers Lord Auch and a new project from jangly guitar group Black Wire.
Both are on MySpace if you wanna check em out.
Should be a great night of summer rocking.
Bunker gears up for Longshot music video.
The lads have just come back energised from a location scouting visit to the Secret Nuclear Bunker, Chipping Ongar, where they are in negotiations to record their first ever music video.
The band, accompanied by staff from filming firm Lets Do Media, spent several hours on Saturday looking around the former military bunker which now stands as a museum to the British Government’s Cold War preparations.
It is an ideal backdrop for the band’s first promo vid and the lads came away very impressed and full of ideas on having a tongue-in-cheek storyline running through the movie as well as a cool performance piece throughout.
More as we get it.
Band rocks Islington with energised set
Longshot pumped their way through an energetic set of tunes at the Hope and Anchor venue, in Islington’s bustling Upper Street, on Thursday 17th April.
The band was well supported by fans and friends as they hit a high with songs like Why Me and You and Others Around You.
They loved the night, but maybe not the annoying Millwall fan trying to blag free drinks out of everyone afterwards!
Hope all who came enjoyed themselves and thanks for coming along.
The lads are now planning to lie low for a month or two to get fresh song recordings in the bag and a music video. See you at the Royston Arms on July 5!.
Latest CD complete - but you’re going to have to wait a teensy bit longer to hear it
The lads have been quietly beavering away on a new home recording and have finished three fresh tracks.
But we’re going to hold back for a few more weeks before releasing the mp3s of two of them, Sing It Back and Throw, until Longshot has hit the pro studio and cut a new three-tracker.
Then you’ll be hit with a whopping five new tunes to enjoy.
The reason we’re not going to release the third track recorded is because it will be superseded by a pro version of Stale Bread when the band visits Perivale Studios next month.
So sit tight in the knowledge that a new blast of Longshot is about to become downloadable in the near future.
